Designer Denim

We remodeled this ranch house kitchen to maximize functionality and a feeling of spaciousness in a compact galley layout. Playful elements include a pass-through to the adjacent living room and entry, stained blue cabinets, a “floating” bar counter with hidden supports, and a display shelf that adds interest to an otherwise unused corner next to the dining table.

Project Elements

This kitchen features hardwood-framed door and drawer fronts. The flooring is durable Marmoleum sheet, and the backsplash tile is glazed ceramic with a subtly irregular texture for a hand crafted effect. The under-cabinet lighting puts light where you need it. Functionality-centered features include a shallow-depth spice cabinet on the range wall, and built-in soap dispenser next to the sink.
